Marketing and Advertisement of Their Music
The XX have their iconic symbol that represents the band as you can see from the pictures I attached above. Not many other bands have a recognisable symbol such as the 'X'. Having this symbol creates brand recognition and allows the band to be and become easily known.
The XX have their own website and it is very cleverly laid out. The actual website contains and long whole page just full of moving images of the band at performances and of themselves.
On the bottom left hand corner of the website consists the link which lead to a Home Page, Videos, Lyrics, Music, an Online Store, Tour, Info and a Sign Up button. All of these are ways in which the band can promote their music and increase the popularity of it. The videos on the website give the viewer an insight as to what their concerts look like, how their music sounds and what kind of performances they put on. Having a direct link to their music means the viewers and listeners are able to buy the music there and then on the website. This can be hugely beneficial to the success of the band as it means sales can be generated quickly. As well as a direct link to music sales the band have also created a direct link to allow fans to purchase tickets to their Tours on the website. Again this is beneficial to the band for the same reasons as the easy sales of their Music.
